[Synopsis]
In the village of Senhora Aparecida, near Oporto, the annual pagan festivity is being prepared. As usual, the penitents order the coffins that will transport them (like dead people) from their house to the chapel. But this time the new priest intends to put an end to the coffins procession. The conflict is inevitable.
This is a film that tells the story of the people that promised to Our Lady Aparecida their wishes, their secrets and their personal feelings. The film reflects on popular versus official religion; tradition versus modernity.
