Small synopsis:
European Football Cup, Portugal. The country is relying on the team to raise its morale. The film is set in a poor neighbourhood following a group of idle pre-adolescents. Games are watched outdoors like a religious ritual. Rui unlike the others, doesn’t watch football: he takes refuge in a dream-like world.

This film shot during the month of june 2004 will tell the story of a group of children from 8 to 14 years old in a housing project in Oporto, a neighbourhood where many live in the rim of poverty. Football will be the common element in the day-to-day life either bringing about many scenes or as a pretext to know other dimensions of characters' lifes. The football match will be the metaphor or the stage for the development of the children's feelings towards the adults world, life outside the neighbourhood, the future and the fulfiling of each one's dreams.
