Synopsis
Martim, 57, recalls his one and a half year stay in the Soviet Union in 1979. Martim was 15 years old and an innocent-looking kid. His parents, Communist Party militants, thought he was going to a safe place, a society that lived up to all their ideals.

Martim traveled to Moscow, Astrakan, by train through the Volga delta, across the Caspian Sea and as far as Azerbaijan. He went underground , quit school and fell in love. The communist ideal instilled by his parents was lost. Forty years later Martim decides to tell his story for the first time to his son, a story that has become a family taboo.
